Which struts/shocks match oem?

New G owner here, car has 127k and I can tell the stock struts and shocks are becoming due for replacement. I'm looking to go with a similar to oem ride quality and not affect height. Is there a whole kit y'all recommend? Not looking to spend a ton but I have put sub standard shocks on my vehicles in the past and regretted it...
Also car has a clunking from LF area on bumps. Sway bar links feel tight via inspection so I plan to do struts and go from there. 06 sedan 5at

The KYBs are probably as close as you are going to get.

Just a heads up most clunking issues on these cars are 95% of the time related to worn compression rod bushings, lower ball joints, or the lower control arm inner bushing. Even bushings that dont appear torn can be the source of the noises.

Thanks for the info I may have to have that done as well. The ride is too soft for me and it makes lots of racket over low speed bumps but I cannot exceed $500 or so on everything I plan to do to it so trying to do one repair at a time.

I have clunking coming from the rare passenger side, feels like its jumping in place, could the bushing in the top hat of the shock be the issue? Or is just what you stated above, worn compression rod bushings, lower ball joints, or the lower control arm inner bushing?

Kyb is probably the best bang for lower buck and the ride is a little stiffer than stock, (unless you're sport package).

I believe the KYB's are a bit stiffer to compensate for the wear level of the springs at higher miles.
