muffler delete???

Hello everyone im new to the forum and to the G35 world, i sold my Cadillac cts to buy an 06 G sedan. Love how the coupes sound with exhaust and was thinking of doing a muffler delete since its cheap to do and can't afford a complete stillen exhaust system so considering the delete. Is it a yay or a nay?? What's your thought on it.

Thanks.

If your on a tight budget and just want to improve the sound and feel of your G sedan, I say go for it. I've driven several muffler deleted G's and they sound surprisingly good, with little drone. Sure it is the cheap way of getting sound out of a car but its your car so mod as you desire

muffler delete???

If you want to be the obnoxiously loud guy in a G. go for it, although I can already tell you just about everyone will say not too. It's just one of those mods that won't increase performance or sound quality. maybe look for an aftermarket muffler and exhaust tip setup? talk to a local muffler shop about your options. best of luck!

Lol thanks mignav. What would be a decent setup? Don't wanna go ***** to the wall on money but still get that nice G sound.

Hell, try a glass pack with the resonator installed. Cant hurt compared to a delete. If anything you can go old-school and pour ATF in the glasspack, light that **** up, and install it backwards lol. Because why the fuq not.

Seriously though, Grab a couple Borla Boomer Rock-It Round mufflers and slap those on in place of the muffler. It would actually sound pretty nice. Keep the resonator though. once you lose that you get into rasp territory. You could even just go single out to save money. I think they go for $250 each.

Just get a magnaflow muffler with the same configuration, delete the resonator and that'll be that. Cost you $300 with labor.

It's very literal and exactly what it says. Take the muffler off and turn heads for all the wrong reasons.

Not that I have any dyno data on a G35.....

but I have seen Muffler deletes on Mustangs cause a loss of low-end torque. Car ran slower at the track...but sounded like it ran 10's. But that's all that matters right?

Muffler delete = Ghetto mod
Our G35s sound good from the factory, if you can't afford at least a new muffler or high flow cats...leave it alone!
