Brake and battery light. Help?

I have an 04 g35 sedan.
I was driving tk the movies today and when i turned kn the ac i felt a loss of power so i turned it off. About 3 minutes later the car dies i have it towed back. The battery was replaced about 3 years ago. And i researched a bit and people in the pass with this problem changed the alternator and it went away.
My battery is dead at the moment. Cant even hear the beep when i lock it.

Could just be a dead battery (cold hurts them, heat finishes them off) but if both the brake and battery lights were on, then it is probably a bad alternator as well. At least that's how it was with Maximas when I had one.

It shouldnt be to hard to remove the alt right?
Got to drain some coolant out. Remove upper hoses. Unclip fans sensors and remove the fan. Should be able to get the alternator from that small gap i think.
How does one burp the coolant system? I might just do a coolant flush

Test battery cells

All cells will most likely show fully discharged in the red zone of the hydrometer

If battery is more than three to four years old replace it with a new one.
Prior to starting the vehicle with the new battery measure the voltage across the battery. Should read 12.6 vols with a multimeter. ( You can get a cheap one at harbor freight)
Start the vehicle and measure the voltage across the battery again.
If the meter is not reading 14.4 volts then replace your alternator.
If you have any sort of electric motor rebuilding shop near by let them rebuild your existing alternator. They will replace the brushes, diodes, and clean the amature, and perhaps replace the bearings.
You will end up with a new OEM alternator instead of some unknown rebuilt one

Good luck
