$9.5K sounds like a great insurance settlement to me. How many miles? Who's your insurer?

Take that settlement and run dude. They might come to their senses and realize your car's not worth that much.

I know. I plan on taking it. I was quite surprised that it kept its value

9.5k from insurance?! Damn!!! Take it and run! Buy another G sedan and pocket the difference or put it into mods.

Sorry to hear about your accident but like others stated, take the money and run!

Let me know if you plan on letting go of those headlights...

Make lemons from lemonade, my man! $9.5k is a very good settlement. Go and buy a similar sedan for 4-5k and yo'll still have 4-5k left over for nice mechanical and appearance mods.

I have a set of OEM headlights I will be replacing soon, but probably not for a couple of weeks. PM me if you're still looking. They're pretty badly yellowed (that's why I'm replacing them with good OEM ones). Perfect for what you want to do.

Sorry about your loss.. but honestly $9.5k is good. Of course you haven't told us the mileage, but that's definitely higher than average market value for Bay Area, CA. When my last car got totaled from a rear-end collision, I ended up negotiating with the adjuster quite a bit after telling him how much work I'd put into the car. I found some original receipts from parts I'd added/replaced, and he gave me 100% of the value of those parts! Never hurts to ask..

Oh, and about your lights. I have a set of OEM headlights from my 2006 sedan, but the problem is they're mounted on my car

If you're just looking to get some value out of your retrofit, would you be interested in a trade for and OEM set, plus cash? If so, please name your price and perhaps post some more pics and you can probably sell them here. If the price is right I would be interested! Who did the retro?

Yeah I'm trying to do a swap and cash since I really don't want it to go to waste. Just bought new ballasts and projectors too

the car car is still in the shop, so once I have it at home I'm going to go and post on the FS forum.

The retrofit was done by the same folks who did candlestickpark (I believe they were jlc lighting. I have to check my emails).

Cool, how many years do you have on them so far? Do you have a ballpark of what you'd like to get for them (assuming you get a set of OEM for trade)?

Hey blue, sorry didn't mean to turn it into that type of thread. Just created a listing in the classified section just for the projectors.

Went to the junkyard since I saw they had 2 2006 sedans with working headlights. Got to the yard and they were both gone already

cant find any other junkyards near my area or San Diego with these so far. Looks like I'll be resorting to amazon or eBay and paying for expeditaed shipping if I don't get a swap deal soon
