VDC OFF & SLIP light but no error codes
I know this is a common problem and I've read a lot using the search button.
My 03 sedan has had the slip light and VDC off for years. I thought I would give it a shot to fix it.
Bought an OBDll scanner and tried it yesterday. NO error codes?
Any thoughts or next steps?

Is your ABS light on as well?
If so, willing to bet a wheel sensor is bad. Does your cruise control work?
The lights being on do generate a code. It's just that they are beyond what would come up in a normal OBD2 code reader. With Nissan, you need a Consult II scanner. The dealer has these, or you can buy one of the Chinese knock-offs for $300 and learn to use it.

I got someone with a fancy scan tool that checks for ABS codes and Chasis/body codes (you only checked engine codes). It said Yaw sensor fault, part of tranction control system (so abs/wheel sensors and this accelerometer). Ebay'd it for like $50 and now i have traction control again.
Funny enough, its under the cup holder... do you spill alot? lol

Goodluck, seems pretty common to me with all those sensors on ebay.

It ended up just being that the negative battery terminal was loose. I ended up getting a new battery because I wasn't sure when the previous owner had installed the existing one. I also took the preventative measure of unbolting the ground cable and sanding where it bolts onto down to the bare metal, then reinstalled it. I sprayed some Rust Check rust inhibitor on it after and will touch up any paint the got scratched in the summer.
I'd start there. It is a quick and easy thing to check. Bad grounds can lead to random lights and codes.

I did check the brake fluid level, apparently that can trigger those lights as well. Fluid looked fine, car runs great otherwise.
Guess I'll need a Consult II to see what code there is. I have a friend who is a service advisor for an Infiniti dealer, he might be able to help me out with that. Would be worth checking grounds and connections anyway, might help ward off future problems.
