Talking Valve Cover gasket, Spark plugs

Hello everyone, I own a 2003 g35 sedan. This things a beast and I love driving it around as my daily. I recently got the alignment redone and the shop did a complete engine inspection while they were there. They came back and said that my valve cover was leaking, as well as my spark plugs needed to be replaced. They also found out my cylinder 1 was misfiring. They didn't know what was causing the misfire but said it could be associated with the spark plugs being old or the valve cover gasket leaking. So, I'm looking to replace these things myself with the help of my dad. Anyone have any pointers, suggestions, or ideas on where I could get the parts to do this? I want the most reliable sources out there. I plan on making other upgrades tot his car as its currently stock except for the lowering coils I have already put it on. Thanks all!

Welcome to our G35 Driver forums Jonah! I'm not a fan of aftermarket parts so I buy engine parts from Nissan for quality and reliability more than anything. Parts like belts/gaskets and windshield wipers seem to last a very long time. Misfire's are caused by worn out plugs or plug wires! Our Marketplace is a great place to buy suspension parts!
Again, Welcome and enjoy the ride...Gary

I ordered a Fel Pro valve cover gasket from rockauto for $17 on a wholesale blowout clearance sale. It has 4 stars out of 5 from 2000+ reviews.

You can buy replacement seals and then enlarge the holes with a hole saw bit on a drill to replace them. R&D Factory used to sell the seal kits but they've disappeared from the forum. There are still folks out there that sell the seals but I don't have a clue who to recommend.......

The care itself has 165K miles. The engine is only at I believe 90K. There was an engine swap done on the engine. Many places sell just the valve cover gasket which is all I need to replace. The spark plugs dont have any oil in them so the Valve cover itself is fine to continue using.
