Binding metal on metal turning!?

Hello! New here and I have a quick question. I was just pulling into a parking spot and felt a large bind and it almost felt like metal on metal. It took a little bit of throttle to get it the rest of the way in the parking spot. I wasn't about to drive it anywhere so I had it flat bed home to my garage. Was doing some testing and the car moves forward and and reverse with no issue, but as soon as I turn and move forward I get that loud pop and binding feeling. Put the car up on jacks to have a look and everything seems fine except for this one part. I'm no mechanical guru and this is my first AWD car. I took some pictures of the only thing that looked suspect as there's some wore metal and it doesn't appear to be lined up properly. Anyone see an issue here or is it normal? Car is a G35x 2006.

Looks like a broken driveshaft no? Look in more detail and order the broken part. Pot holes take out our cars!

Go to a suspension shop, tell them you're hearing a noise, describe the noise and they'll put it up on the lift and check all parts and give you an assessment. They'll tell you what it is, what it costs, etc. They won't charge you (normally) tho (for the inspection).

Then you'll know what's wrong, what it costs for them to fix it, and you can research what it would cost you to fix it if you're able-bodied and willing..

Your front universal joint on the front driveshaft has failed.

Do not drive the car, for if that shaft slips out, it will still be spinning and may damage other components as it flails around.

My car suffered a similar failure last year, and it cracked the bellhousing and damaged the differential when it let loose at highway speed.
