Anyone else notice that the Infiniti lowered the project MPGs for the 2005s?
The 2003/2004 G35 sedan autos have a projected MPG rating of 19 city / 26 highway. The 2005 G35 sedan auto has a more realistic rating of 17/24. Do you think Infiniti realized their initial projected MPG ratings were a bit too optimistic

My car makes up for not using ANY oil by giving me (and my right foot) a whopping 15/16 mpg. AND that's if I talk real sweet and rub her console. Mostly very fast stop light to stop light around town..JBX
My X says 17/24 on the sticker. It's fine with me. I really didn't buy the car for the mileage. Looks, all wheel drive, and a great car to drive overall, made me buy it. It only has 200 miles on it, so time will tell as far as mileage goes. Whatever it may be, I'm fine with it.
I heard the VQ35 engine always has lousy gas mileage when it's new. After 5 to 10k it averages out to 22mpg. Couple of people with 03 and 04s told me the samething as well users from Maxima forum.
