Clicking noise when stepping on accelerator

Background: Had several codes relating to camshaft sensors all of sudden. The car still ran smoothly with no loss of power or reduction in gas mileage. Changed them all including crankshaft sensor. Then got P00011 code VVT solenoid Bank 1. Cleaned then put back old solenoid. Same code on Bank 1. Replaced VVT Solenoid with a new part. Then the clicking started. Clicking is slight and even occurs when powered ON, but the motor is NOT running. When the motor is running clicking can be heard initially when revved. Any ideas?

Background Pt 2: Oil has been changed less than 800 miles ago. 06 with RevUp. 150k on car 90k on short block replaced under warranty.

Use a mechanic stethoscope and find out exactly where the clicking is coming from.

Clicking noise was the new part.

Wierd, a phase sensor has no moving parts. Not sure what could be going on but I would look to make sure everything was put back together properly.

Bank 1 VVT solenoid clicking. Sounded like it was arcing but no burning at the connector or ground. Weird. The part had a warranty so it goes back.

Ohh that makes sense, for some reason I thought you.meant the cam sensor. Yes it's probably a bad solenoid if it's making noise. Aftermarket solenoids and sensors are notorious for not working on this vehicle, hence why everyone recommends OEM Nissan parts.
