Mechanic used an off brand of transmission fluid. Do I need to be concerned?

As long as it passes the test for plastic erosion, heat resistance, pressure degradation, and has good quality detergents it will probably be fine. There are a LOT of good hydraulic fluids on the market but there are also a lot of really shitty ones too and when your mechanic is using "mystery fluid" that was probably the cheapest **** he could get his oily paws on then you're just asking for trouble.
It's also rare, but sometimes there's compatibility problems when you use 6qt of one fluid and 4qt of another. The only real problem I've seen is separation of the two fluids when the transmission is cold and it causes wierd shifting until it's fully up to temp and the fluids have "homogenized" again.
Nissan Matic-S has a reputation for working perfectly in these transmissions which is why it's usually the recommended product.

When I replaced my engine I put back Valvoline in the transmission. It's been shifting great over the last 10k+ miles of spirited daily driving. It does also meet the JASO A1 standards.
$90 sounds good for trans drain/fill from the dealership

OP,
I would honestly no worry about it. Matic S wasn't even invented when your car came out.
Those 4 QT already mixed in with your fluids so you can really UNDO anything. Just drive it, I dont remember how much mileage you have but most are 100k+ if the tranny starts to slip it was time to go anyways. And i highly doubt it.
I changed my fluid about 8 years ago and 4 years ago. Both times i've used Castrol import ATF. Honestly Matic-J was made by Castrol and possibly Matic-S. At the time i had 60k and was out of powertrain warranty so i said screw it. I'm at 130k now and no issues.
Having worked at a dealership in the past, i can promise you.... in many cases non nissan fluid has been used.
