2005 Infiniti G35
Transmission and brake issues are independent of one another. I'm not aware of any recalls, when was the last time you had your transmission serviced? It requires a fluid change every 30k miles to prevent damage. Not to be too harsh but if you've been ignoring the scheduled maintenance then it's no surprise something is broken. Brake system problems typically revolve around a stuck ABS relay (you will hear a loud buzzing sound coming from under the hood near the brake booster) or a seized caliper (which is also due to ignoring service intervals for flushing the brake fluid).
You should have your vehicle scanned with an OBD2 reader for any codes, both systems have various chassis and powertrain codes that will not cause a service engine light to display (because it's not the engine) but are usually visible with any OBD2 scanner. Your local Nissan dealership will definitely see any codes if present because the Consult-II software has all the exact PID information.
What EXACTLY is the vehicle doing? "no warning transmission and brakes lock up" is a fairly vague description.
Call your local Nissan dealership and ask what they charge for a vehicle diagnostic of those systems, the price is usually reasonable and they will tell you EXACTLY what is wrong and you can decide how to proceed with repairs.

What did the car actually do?
No, there is no specific recall for anything like you describe. Keep in mind this is a 12 year old car we are talking about. At that point, any sort of mechanical issue is fair game given potential history over the vehicle in that span of time. We need more info to begin to help you out
