hey guys I'm a new G35x owner. I got some questions hoping you guys can answer, or point me in the right direction. I tried on some facebook groups but those things are hit or miss.
1. Do the coupe side mirrors fit onto the sedan? Do any other nissan or infiniti side mirrors fit onto the G35 sedan?
2. If doing drain and fill auto transmission change, how much fluid should I be putting back into the transmission?
3. Which spark plugs does G35 take?
4. Is there any way to prevent the car from locking automatically when you walk away with the fob?
5. Are there any Toronto (Canada) based G35 groups or clubs?
6. Where can I find the suspension schematic for G35.
7. Can the fob from another infiniti be programmed to work with G35?
8. Where can I find the service manual for G35x?
thank you

2.Between 4 and 5 quarts, pour 4 check level, you can also measure what comes out for reference.
3. Depends on the motor, VQ35DE use NGK PLFR5A-11
4. Probably, guessing you have an intelligent key system and not the standard one.
5.'Murica!
6.Ill see if I can post a couple pictures for reference.
7. Fobs don't get programmed, tour BCM gets programmed to accept certain fobs.
8. Not online unfortunately, Nissan recent filed a lawsuit against the site that hosted the FSM's, what year is your vehicle?
I use this site for parts numbers, it gives a lot of information.

About the service manual, they used to be on nicoclub.com but they have been taken down recently
Lots of people have downloaded the service manual there, hope they will send you a copy,

...4, The only time your iKey system locks the car on its own is if you unlock the car and then you don't open a door, the trunk, or press the ignition switch within one minute. I guess the car presumes you changed your mind and it re-locks itself.
...8 you can buy a set here:

That's not normal behavior but I suppose could be a mod. Is there an aftermarket security system installed? If you do have a mod there should be a way to defeat it...
A company called KP Technologies made auto-lock and window roll up modules, but not sure if they could trigger by "proximity" as you are describing. Does the car auto-lock when you start it? If so, you may have one of their modules installed. And if so, try this:
To disable this feature:
Turn the ignition on and WAIT for the doors to lock. After they lock you have approximately six seconds to push the lock button three times. The next time you turn the ignition on the doors should not lock
That might do it...
Regarding the service manuals, I own a set for the '06 sedan (pdfs) but no longer own the car. Are looking for a specific book?

Looks like this link is still working, but you have to download all parts separately

Holy crap you just struck gold, they still have the FSM's hosted but you just can't access them directly through the main vehicle selector page. Does anyone know how to navigate to the COUPE FSM's ?
EDIT: Apparently there are only a few vehicles accessible by manually navigating to through the site, 2006/2007 coupe, 2005-2007 sedan are the ones I found so far.

here is another question. this car is 5 speed auto. When using the "manual" shifting (tiptronic or whatever its called) the gears seem to be slow to engage. There is a definite lag between me shifting the gear leaver up or down and gears actually changing. As in, if I downshift the transmission doesnt downshift instantly, there is a good delay of about a second. Is this normal?
Clean up the electrical grounding/bonding system. The transmission ground is one of the two located at the top of the timing chain cover, next is a bonding jumper from the passenger side of the timing cover that runs below the coolant reservoir (remove the 10mm reservoir bolt and lift straight up, leave hoses attached there is enough slack), finally is the main bonding jumper from the negative battery terminal to the chassis inside the battery compartment (remove the entire plastic cover not just the access window).
Take off each bolt, use a steel wire brush and clean the threads of the fastener, the lug faces on both sides, and the mating metal surface on the engine or chassis, apply a light coating of electrical anti-oxidation grease and reattach the bolts. It should help your laggy shifting considerably as well as overall engine performance. A decade+ worth of corrosion on a sophisticated computer system does things like this.
Be careful not to use just random fasteners for the bonding system, each of those bolts is coated in a special anti-corrosive green paint to keep electrolysis from degrading the fastener.

There are those that think a grounding kit will also help reduce transmission lag on automatics, I am one of them. My manumatic shifting seemed to be crisper and quicker after I installed one but it also could just have been my mind wanting it to be true.
is there a spot on the tranny that you should ground? or just the tranny grounds that are on the timing chain cover?
