First real post here since we bought an '05 G35x for our son's 16th birthday which won't be for another month. Anyway, the car has a Viper remote start and the factory remote doesn't work at all. I changed batteries in both fobs as the Viper one seemed to act erratically. After learning about reprogramming the factory remote I decided to try it but cannot get the car into what I would call learn mode by inserting and removing the key. My thoughts are that the Viper system has sort of taken over and disabled the factory system. Any thoughts?
