question about MAF housing diameter

i heard someone say that the MAF housing on the 5AT is smaller than on the 6MT and on 350Zs. now i know that a ton of people with 5ATs have the z-tube and my question is do you have to adapt it or is it not a problem?

Dude, If I understand your question correctly you should be able to see that the MAF connector is clipped into (at about a 30deg. angle to the right) the top of flange tube (grey) directly behind the filter. Then you'll see the hose clamp ...then the Z tube (black). The ONLY thing that is reconnected to the Z tube is the vent hose underneath via the spring clamp. Click on the pic. to enlarge. Easy to follow instructions cool? JBX

Not everyone that will visit these forum's is as much of a gearhead as some of us are. We take it for granted that we are into these car's as much as we are, we need to understand that not everyone will come with the same level of understanding as we have given ourselves. And I'm not convinced using the search button would have helped this member out.
