G35x with 167,xxx miles. I noticed a pretty much new passenger side CV axle when doing other work to the car. (Wheel Bearings and driver side tie rod in) After a couple weeks it blew turning into a parking lot. We've replaced the axle two times now. As soon as I pull out of the driveway and turn it blows up. Any ideas? I'm going to take another look at the motor mounts. I shifted through the gears and revved the engine in neutral. I didn't notice anything. I have an AWD light that began turning on before the CV axles blew. ABS light also.

 

Describe exactly the damage that you see to the CV axle. Is it just a torn boot or did it crap out the bearings too?

 

Axles dont just blow.....

Boots tear for random reasons, like potholes or coming into contact with sharp objects.

Maybe when the work was being done, the axle was never seated correctly or stretched too far...
