Wheel sizing help?

So I’m currently running the oem 18 in “rays” from the 05-06 sedans that are I believe 18x7.5 don’t know the offset.Anyways I currently don’t have any problem with rubbing but I did added some 15mm spacers in the rear but don’t rub what so ever.Im really considering buying some XXR 527 Wheels that are 18x8x42mm offsett but I don’t know a damn thing about wheel offsets. My question is could I run at all with a +42mm offsett? I don’t want to buy wheels and tires and having to return them and I don’t want to do any fender mods.Btw I’m currently running 235/45/18 on my car right now but if I buy these wheels I will be running 225/40/18 thank you guys so much for helping a noob in the car scene 🙏

I ran the 19” Rays staggered set up and the rear offset difference and the width was just enough for the tire to rub the entire wheel arch. If that helps your reference.

19” coupe Rays, rear sticks out too much, not enough offset

18” sedan Rays lookalikes no rub, good offset and width

This thread should have the offsets you're looking for: https://g35driver.com/forums/wheels-...s-offsets.html. Than use an offset calculator on google to figure out the rest.

Yes and if you look at that thread @Ichiglo_ you will see the sedan came with optional wheels: 18x7.5" +45mm. If your XXR wheels are 18x8" +42mm they will sit (theoretically) 9.7mm further out than these optional OEM wheels. Less than half an inch.

I've read that anywhere up to 19x8.5" +22mm is safe for the front, and 9.5" with the same offset is ok for the rear, so if you want the real aggressive look (like I'm going to do) you could buy your XXR wheels and add a 20mm wheel spacer on the front, 45mm wheel spacer on the rear.

1. You do not have 18in OEM rays. You just have 18in OEM sport wheels.

2. You can run those XXR as in with no issues, The spacers will bring them out nicely to a very near flush look.

3. I would not change the tire sizing. 235/45/18 will have your speedometer matching up correctly. Any change and your gauge will not be accurate.

Looks like a people linked you some websites, those will help.

Happy Modding. I'm running 18x8.5 +33 using 235/45/18 no issues.
