This looks great and the results are better than expected! I bought some upholstery piping a while back to do this but haven’t tried installing yet. I think it is similar or might be the same thing as the Amazon product. Will report back shortly.

My results with typical upholstery piping
Had previously attempted to glue mine without any luck. The black piping went in and really stuck on its own. Still added some super glue which ran out in places (be careful, use very little). Still happy with the results!
Are all these pictures from a g35x? The door panels are different than the regular coupes. Is the material flexible enough to fit the sharp curve of the leather here?
Thanks for taking the time to post this, turned out great especially with that interior color scheme!
I have the same issue on my 03, and will tackle this in the summer months.
I have the wood trim which i am not really a fan of, so i might recover them with while i fix the upholstery - maybe carbon fiber vinyl or something, trying not to make it look cheap/tacky

Was this the same product as the original poster? Please let me know.
Did mine this weekend. Thanks to OP and all others that contributed to this thread. Tried to upload pics but they kept stopping in the upload process at 90%

An update to mine, I am surprised how well it is holding up. The installation of the piping is not within any wear area where I grab the door or rest my arms. Considering this I probably used too much glue when I installed mine. A little dab here and there should work, don't need to try a thing continuous bead. The piping almost has enough friction to hold itself between the door card and door foam padding, so test fit completely before adding glue. Super glue can be the enemy because it may try to stain the door card or melt the foam backing.
Was in a shop getting my standard driver's side seat tear fixed and decided to get these panels swapped out as well. I like that it adds a pop of color to the backseat, didn't realize how monochrome it was back there before.
