Hey guys, im looking to buy a 2005 G35x sedan with about 200 000kms on it, (roughly 124 000 miles) and im curious as to if it is a reliable car to buy with that sort of mileage? I haven't checked it out yet and i don't know if there's an issues as of now, but in general are they reliable cars? Thanks for the help

 

I think they are very reliable cars. At 125k they usually need some maintenance like front wheel bearings, cam sensors, front driveshaft ujoint, and wideband O2's. The biggest complaints is that they do eat oil and need to be checked often and topped off. It's always good to see if the previous owner has service records so you know what parts you won't have to service for awhile. I was lucky when I bought my 2004 G35x, it had all of the service records for the last 4 years in the glove box.

The most important maintenance item on the list is the front driveshaft. If it has not been changed it need's to be. When they go it can do thousands worth of damage to the engine,tranny, front diff.
