2007 G35X vs 2008 G35X

What is the difference (if any), between the '07 & '08 models of the G35X?

Thanks in advance.

PS: Is it worth it to wait a few months and go for the '09 model? Any idea on the upgrades?

mostly electronics, like ipod integration, interior middle console looks a little different i think...and you can get the sport package on the '08 models.

personally, i would go for the '09 model so you can see all the green-eyed monsters around the forums. i will also be envious of the '09 owners

08 also includes the rear view camera as part of the navigation package. 07 the rear camera was in the technology package.

The biggest difference is the throttle tip in. The 2007 have a problem of a very aggresive throttle making it hard to start smoothly, which was corrected in 2008.

Some people might not like the touchy throttle response, but I would hardly call it a problem. I for one like it that way.

i like my "touchy" throttle tip in, but Yea, you might as well get the 08 since it has ipod integration, and Rearview camera w/ navi.... I really wanted the rear view camera when i bought mine, but i felt i didn't need the ICC and adaptive headlights, so i skipped that option. That's the only thing i regret about my car is the camera and when i found out it came standard on the 08's i was like wtf?

Thats why I got a 2 yr lease on my 08, I will wait for the 09 to come in and the 2010 model will have all the bugs of the 09 fixed

But what do you do in 2011 when they completely change the design, launching the 2.7L twin turbo with 372hp and 357lb/ft torque and 8 speed sequential manual transmission or 10 speed auto; all this less than 1 year after you picked up your 2010??

...and it gets 23mpg city/35mpg hwy!!

I say buy the 08 while it's still here. Great deals on them right now. The only thing worth waiting for maybe is the 7speed tranny. The new 3.7 is not.

Something for everyone to consider; the Yen is up a fair bit against the US dollar (or maybe more correctly the Dollar down vs Yen) so the exchange rate may be an issue in price increases depending on how Nissan/Infiniti does their transfer pricing.

Example:

Sept. 2007 - 1 USD = 117 Y
March 18/2008 - 1 USD = 99.98 Y

Make your deal, buy and DRIVE!!

If you get navi you will have less voice commands. If you like using this feature, it might be something to consider. Also there seems to be only one maplight in the 08.

I agree, I love it. I seriously had my doubts in the beginning, but I adjusted way easy. Gives me the power anytime I want. I've gotten 08 loaner twice now, felt much smoother, but somethings amiss.
