G37 sedan fuel economy?

Any word on projected fuel economy given the new 7 speed transmission and 3.7l engine?

My guess is 19/26.

My second guess is that in real world mixed driving, the new transmission will yield 2 mpg greater, or about 12% efficiency improvement. That's a few hundred bucks a year, hardly a reason to trade in just for fuel economy.

Keep in mind the G37 is heavier than the G35, so the overall difference may be very minimal.

what does that have to do with the g37 sedan? it's not the engine that makes the g37 coupe heavier than the g35 sedan. the engine is bored out, thus not making it heavier from the engine. it's the chassis, longer car, different dimensions of the body...

since it's all speculation, my guesstimate is 16-17/24-25, i doubt that there will be a huge difference in gas savings, most noticeable would be highway... and i can't get anything better than 21-22 for highway....

personally i think 2 extra gears will make a world of difference...even 1 gear would make a 2mpg increase on the highway. just think guys, our RPM range is about 3000 - 3400 rpm when we're on the highway...with a 7spd tranny we'll be at about 1800rpm.

I took a trip to savannah for st. patty's day and I got 420 miles on one full tank. I filled it up to the max and ended up when the gas meter on the lcd read ***

the g37 sedan will probably get close to 500 miles on one tank
