I was wondering if any company out there makes an electric power steering kit for the G35. I know I have to replace the rack and pinion and possibly the pump and would be nice to know if there's an electric version out there.

 

I've never heard of anyone doing it to the G but o know the Saturn Vue is a popular swap in other vehicles and there's quite a bit of aftermarket support for it.

 

Drive by wire is bad enough, Steer by wire scares the crap out of me. I can just imagine a fuse popping on a hairpin corner...

Yeah but you're just as likely to blow the steering u-joint, or break a tie rod end. Electric steering isnt bad it just feels like ****.

 

I second cleric's comment on the electronic steering. My MKS has it and it's the only thing I don't like on the car. Steering is super light, almost annoyingly so, and you feel disconnected from the road somewhat. But the rest of the car is so badazz I put up with it.
