What's the name of this part of the suspension?

Had a mechanic friend put in new control arms on my 05 sedan. He said there was a piece that broke off and he couldn't find anyone in town that had a replacement.

So now I need to order it myself, but I'm not sure what it is. I don't believe it's the control arm bushing, because I think that's the piece right next to it. What do you think?

And here it is on the other wheel where you can see it's still intact:

Yep that's it. You can find decent replacements at an auto parts store, it's not one of the suspension components that needs to be factory or a specific brand.

Thanks for the info.

Looking at replacement parts right now and it looks like the end links available come with a bolt protruding out of the top, but not out of the bottom where my sway bar currently isn't connected. It comes with a nut, but it looks like there should be a bolt coming out of my sway bar for it to connect to. Is it something where I can just get the right sized bolt to fit through it? Or is that a special kind of cap sitting inside of the sway bar that I'll need to replace (with a bolt inside of it) before I can connect the lower part of the end link?

Appreciate the help in advance!

That picture you posted is not what the G35 sway bar end links looks like, check out the Nismo ones here, they will have bolts on both ends.

WHOOPS my bad, as soon as I posted I realized you have an AWD model, that part in the lower arm is a dealership only item I think.

Nissan part number 54618-AQ305 and I believe it does come with the nut.

Do they? I thought the part that mounts in the compression rod was a dealership only item?

1) I'm pretty sure you mean the LCA Cleric, not the compression rod.

2) You have a problem with your LCA, not your sway bar end link. There's a ball joint with a stud protruding that goes through the hole of your sway bar end link. I just replaced both the LCA and the sway bar end link myself and honestly, I have no clue how your mechanic busted this. He should be paying for the replacement IMHO.

As far as replacing that ball joint in the LCA, I've heard from others that you can get it at the dealership. Or you can get your mechanic to replace the entire control arm for $74.80 USD. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...31975&jsn=2480
