Removing the sunroof requires removing the headliner and dropping it down. Here is the full assembly:

These tabs are all that hold the glass assembly to the mechanism:

This is the motor and its controller:

Sunroof linkages that allow the tilting into the body when retracting, and the vent function:

The mechanism locks when retracting, and unlocks when sliding forward at its "home" position:

The sunroof has a drain channel that goes all around the perimeter of the glass:

There sure is a lot of components in the sunroof, especially the tilt mechanism!
I was surprised that they are all made of plastic. Seems kinda flimsy to me.

Nissan quality.....garbage!
I jumped on my car because it didn't have a sunroof! Found I never really used them and too much complication for older cars. I feel like 95% of all G sedans have the sunroof option.
