G35 Sedan
2004 G35 new owner

My son just purchased a 2004 G35 sedan with 140k miles. I have a couple of questions I hope someone may be able to answer.

1) Both power outlets on either side of the radio are missing the plug (I assume there is some plug that covers the hole). From the Infinity part site, it looks like the part I need is Power Outlet Cover Cap 253352Y900. Would anyone be able to confirm if that is the correct part? Below is a picture of the power outlet.

2) The car is missing a trim piece on the back of the center console (see pic). I'm assuming it's an ashtray or cupholder. Does anyone know the part number of this piece might be.

I searched the forums so I already know the answer but I'm disappointed that there doesn't seem to be a good rubber floor mat available for the vehicle. I have Weathertech mats in all my vehicles and I really like how they protect the interior. I checked ebay and there seem to be options but I'm not sure of the fit/quality. If anyone has a recommendation, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Keeping this thread and deleting the other because this one has more pictures.

Your post didn't show up because it was thrown into the "moderated" queue, this happens randomly when the system thinks the post might be spam. I'll pull your thread out so it's publicly visible.

I'm not sure about the other questions but for the floor mats just keep your eyes open on eBay and other marketplaces for the OEM all-weather rubber floor mats. They definitely have the best fit and are a very well made item.

Thanks for deleting the other post. After I hit "Submit" for the second post, I read the message that shows for a few seconds. It said something about sending to moderator so I figured since I'm new it had to be reviewed/approved first.

You can look for people parting out G35s on craigslist to get the pieces you need. And whatever dealer you bought that from...that is some really greasy interior dressing they used. I'd wipe it all down with a good all purpose cleaner and use something with a more matte gloss when you get time.

Only the right outlet got the power port plug, the left was actually for the cigarette lighter. I’d imagine that plug part # would fit in both though.

It's unfortunate, but the easiest and cheapest thing to do for those parts is visit a u pull it junkyard. These cars are quite common there and those plugs and ashtray interior parts survive on most of them.

Thanks for the replies. I found the ashtray n ebay for $18 and the power plug I purchased from infiniti online. It was $21. Both kinda pricey. I still have not found any all weather floor mats that I really like so I'll keep looking.

On a side note, my son and I did a brake job on the rear wheels. We replaced brake pads, rotors, and the driver side caliper. It was sticking and it was what prompted the job in the first place. We literally beat on the driver side rotor for 30 minutes with a dead blow hammer to get it off. The passenger side took about 10 minutes of beating. This is my sons first car. He was driving a hand me down mini van. It was fun to work on car with him. It took about 5 hours and we were up till 1 am one night. Still fun though.
