2004 vs. 2005 6MT Sedan HP

Does anyone know exactly what was done to generate the extra horsepower in the 2005 6-speed as compared to the 2004 car? I presume the engine is the same--was it done with new intakes, fuel schedules, ecm changes, etc?

They added stronger internals, added exhaust vvt, and raised the redline to 7K. However, the torque dropped 10ft/lbs, but is still very linear.

The torque on the 05 6 spd sedan did not drop 10ft lbs from the 04 6 spd sedan as the torque remained at 260ft lbs. What might have confused you was the torque on the automatic sedan increased 10ft lbs to 270 in 05.
