Question Front License Plate Options

Greetings,

I've gone with a KBD Nismo style replacement front bumper after some idiot hit me. https://www.kbdbodykits.com/infiniti...per-p-804.html

Problem is, it does not come with a recessed area nor mounting hardware for the front license plate.

What are my options for putting a plate on the front? I don't wanna roll around with it in my windshield...

Please let me know what you think. It's in the bodyshop as we speak...

Thank you in advance!

Thanks!

They sell a plate holder which installs into the tow hook hole. But Im pretty sure your aftermarket bumper doesnt have the removable cover to make that work.

The easiest thing to do would be to just screw it right onto the bumper.

I just noticed youre in San Diego. How likely are u to be pulled over for missing the front plate? Ive been drivin around for a few years now without front plates and no issues.

No damn way Im putting a plate on my Kuruma bumper haha.

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
Would it work to recess a powerful magnet in the foam piece behind the bumper cover?

Personally I would chop the front end and install a Stillen license plate holder with an access hole for the tow hook.

First time you need a tow and don't have access to the tow hook it's going to TRASH your front bumper.

Luckily they aren't strict here about front plates in Texas so I'd chance it. If you don't have that option, I've seen brackets that can attach off to the side in the cut-outs so you won't have to drill into it.

Check out x-hook.com. It consists of a shaft that screws into the existing tow hook slot and 4 interchangeable attachments can then mount onto the shaft - the No-Drill License Plate Bracket, Tow Hook, Tow Strap, & GoPro Mount.
