I've had my 06 x for a little over a year now and I AM IN LOVE. Over this past winter and through my ownership, ive been gathering mods and parts. So far, magnaflow 14815 is the only installed mod i have. Apart from that, ive re-done the entire front suspension thanks to our roads lol.

This winter, i picked up a motordyne iso copper 5/16 spacer, order caved in and just ordered a oem style lip from ionic dynamics, found a set of sport 18s at a junkyard, new summer tires and led interior lights. My next search is oem mudflaps, but i doubt ill find a set for a good price.

Now my next question, i gotta do my valve cover gaskets again as my passenger side still has a small leak. In which time, ill be installing my plenum spacer and doing all my mods too. My front bumper is cracked to hell, so i found a used unpainted replacement for $100. So since im removing the bumper to install my new one, and my new lip, i want opinions on headlight paint.

1. What colour and type of paint looks the best?
2. What colour of paint would match the rest of the car (garnet fire)? I see lots of threads of painting headlights with a white, black and silver car and black/tinted headlights look good with those. I want to get the best combo of paint to match the garnet fire paint, as i find straight up black is a bit too much
3. Should i paint my grill and amber corners the same colour? Would it look good?
4. Opinions on angel eyes? I kinda like them, but since im in Canada and have daytime running lights, im not so sure.

I have seen like 2 or 3 pics of painted headlights with garnet fire on google, and so far im not too convinced.

Personally, I'd just retrofit the low beams with projectors and leave them otherwise stock looking.

 

Thanks for the reply. I did spend like 2 hrs researching yesterday and something like that may be my final solution.

Im getting some real light tint for them to wrap them and give the headlights a smoked look without reducing output. Thats what im doing so far.
