2005 g35 with rosewood trim

Hey all,

I noticed there aren't any pictures with the rosewood trim, so I thought I'd donate mine :-D.

I got my G35 about 2 weeks ago and love it.

Yeah, the wood looks nice. However, I wanted to keep mine a little sporty inside, that's why I have the aluminum. The wood makes the inside look plush, the aluminum makes it look sporty. Either way, the interior is well done indeed.

Not to be a downer but when we picked up our 2005 5AT sedan in December we had the cherry rosewood already installed. I like the looks on the lighter interior. Here's the thread...cherry wood interior

I really like the color of the rosewood trim. Infinity had a very light color wood trim for the 2004 and that's why I did not get it. Yours looks great!

I don't know, the door handles are just plastic with the aluminum, I drove an '05 loaner last week, and the console, I don't know if it's really auminum, the "chrome" edge around it is plastic, I may be wrong, but it sure looked like plastic.

All the aluminum in the interior is real aluminum, even on the doors. I have had some of the interior apart, and it is definitely metal, not plastic. As far as looking like plastic, IMO is doesn't. I have seen "plastic aluminum" interior panels, and they look plastic, these definitely don't. Also, quoted from Infiniti's site:

Sleek. Modern. Progressive. These adjectives describe the interior of the G35 as well as they describe the exterior, due in part to the generous use of genuine aluminum accents. You'll see and feel it on the door handles, steering wheel, center console, as well as shift **** and shift gate.

My G came with the lighter wood on the door handles. I am planning to add more to the center stack only like in the pics mrmanishs posted. I also like the sporty look with a little elegance thrown in.

So, even that "polished" edge around the console aluminum is real? Where is the aluminum on the steering wheel? The reason I thought the door handles weren't is because one had a big scratch on it, pretty deep actually.

THe polished edge MAY be plastic trim. I am not too sure. BTW, aluminum will scratch. Kinda like a gouge actually. As far as the steering wheel, there is aluminum trim around the illuminated audio controls. Infiniti did a great job with the interior of this car, I am very happy with it.

That's cool, mine was just a casual observation.

Very nice. Though I have the aluminum, I much prefer the rosewood. (Got mine used...) The car already has sportiness in spades -- on the outside with its looks, with the sound of the engine, performance, etc. With the wood, you get refinement, beauty, and class -- and a less plasticy feel -- on the inside. Nice mix...

Congrats on the new ride --

Andy
