Can this be repaired?

Wifey nailed a deer the other morning. The impact damaged the fiber assembly around the headlight. Can I fiberglass it back together?

Your mom's boyfriend
If it's plastic you can weld it with a soldering iron and zip ties

Yes, it's some sort of plastic but with fibers in it.

You can usually salvage a used radiator support from a local pick-n-pull for like $50. Or eBay one for around $100.

The part is cheap, it's annoying to remove and replace tho.

Its holding the headlight in so its not a highly structural piece. Plastic weld/ add some fiber glass, heck bolt on some angle iron.

Pretty cheap from Rock auto, shipping cost's more than the parts. I think I'll just repair it.

I used fiberglass resin and fiberglass matting to repair it. It's hard as a rock and it really adhered well. I just gave the break area a good sanding to help with adhesion. Sorry I didn't take a pic.
