2006 Infiniti G35 Sedan Fuel Pump Question

This car been driving me nuts.

I can’t find the correct fuel pump assembly.
every pump I ordered was wrong and that includes 4 pumps my friends shop ordered.

my pump has the fuel pressure regulator in the center on pump and from it a pipe comes out and does a 90 degree down on witch the Venturi plugs up into. Every pump I got had a bigger plastic connector for the Venturi.

if anyone knows what pump I’m talking about I need your advice. What pump that’s rated higher then stock 110L/h will fit into the oem housing?

I have upgraded my fuel system to CJM S1 kit.
new rails, injectors, return hose and under hood regulator set to 51psi also the fuel return correction kit. As soon as I give a good amount of gas the pressure starts to drop and it’s pissing me off. I’m limited to around 3.5k rpm at 1/2 throttle.

I heard a walbro 255 pump fits but I can’t get a part number for that pump and if any mods need to be done.

can anyone shine a light on my pump issues?

it does have the pump part numbers. So it helps.
even though the pump module is different I think the pump itself is the same size

Take a picture of your pump and housing, there was a housing revision part way through the model years but the pump itself and all the other components were physically interchangeable. Pre-revision there was a lot more plastic (like you couldn't see the springs), post-revision it was more skeletonized.

my pump is solid. Filter is the center of the pump the bottom clips on to the filter and the filter slides into the top part with the sending unit. My pump does not have the springs.

I found a pump that will fit, will get the top with sending unit and filter from dealer.
I want the top so I can drill it better for the return hose. Last time I didn’t measure correctly and drilled it too far towards the sending unit and it made my sending unit a bit on an angle.

I’ll post a pic when I take the pump out in a couple days. Tank is full now.

Sounds like you should just go pick-n-pull another fuel pump, perhaps from a coupe because the skeletonized kind with the springs is easier to disassemble and you can redrill the return on the top. It's probably a LOT cheaper to salvage one compared to buying a new dealership one.

The sedan housing works fine though, you just have to clearance the walbro pump a little, basically the same as you do on the coupe housing, but other than that it's the same modifications to the swirl jet and regulator.

The nice thing is once you have your clearancing done on the housing the walbro pump is pretty darned inexpensive compared to other options. I picked up my pump a couple years ago for $75 locally from a guy who sold it to me the same price he bought it for when my pump failed while we were out on a group ride.

my pump is the older style, it don’t have the jet on the bottom or is.

im only getting the top housing from dealer and filter. The rest I already found for way cheaper then the weak stock pump and way better.

I got it corrected.

I got the new pump housing and filter from dealer, using a 350 lph fuel pump with cj motorsports S1 fuel system upgrade kit with fuel return fix.
Pump fit with just a little trimming and I didn't have to drill out the Venturi pipe. pressure stable at 51 psi with no spikes at all.

the S1 kit uses oem fuel feel line but changes the rest. changed fuel rails, new injectors, underhood FPR, AN return hose back to pump with pump module mod to accept return and correction kit.
https://cj-motorsports.com/products/...-system-vq35de if anyone wants to see the kit

ok I had the same problem nobody listed the correct pump for a g35 sedan. Only the g35 coupe which is spring loaded. Finally after doing my research I found the correct pump. The correct part number is 25060-am60a. But it's only available at infiniti dealerships. Went to autozone, Napa, advance auto parts, oreilly auto parts, xl parts and checked damn near every vendor online and all have the wrong listing. Then I saw a post on ebay new fuel pump and the distributor was tagged as an infiniti dealership?!

That’s what I ended up doing.
I got everything except the pump itself from dealer. Installed my upgraded 350L pump, had to mod the housing a little to get the pump to fit.

my current Dyno, till the turbos go in.
New engine has 30k miles on it so I think it’s safe to boost her now.
old Engine had an unexpected disassembly lol
