I'm having an annoying dilemma with my car. Only after the car has been sitting for a short while, and only if the E-brake was being used, I get this obnoxiously loud metal on metal rotational sound only while moving forward and turning my wheel (usually to the left). After it happens once it does not do it again unless the car is parked later on.

Sounds like it's coming from the rear and only (I think) occurs after the E-brake has been used for a short while.

Wheel bearings seem fine, and put new pads and rotors in a few months ago. Also tried readjusting my parking brake. Any ideas? I'm still thinking it is parking brake related and wanted some advice before I order a new assembly. Thanks!

 

What happens when you pull the e-brake while driving? Do you get that same sound?
