Valve cover gaskets leaking or something else?

So I bought a 2005 G35 6MT off someone locally and driving it home it the bleeder port blew up and caused the car to overheat. I was able to make it home and it only overheated a few times in very short intervals before I pulled over and let it cool down. I replaced the old port with a Z1 port and installed new heater hoses and fully flushed the cooling system and the car runs and drives great now with no overheating and no coolant leaks. However, i did notice that when I bought the car it leaked a drop or 2 of oil and since the car overheated after day 1 it leaked a couple more drops of oil after every drive it seemed. The first drops were nothing major and only showed up after the car was shut off but after it sat for a while it wouldn’t leak anymore only while the car ran and a little after it was running. Now the car is leaking a lot more oil (think of maybe 5-7 drops before while parking and stationary and now 15-20) and I’m wondering if driving it around is making the gaskets worse. I’ve read and seen that people say the gaskets warp after heat cycles and I’ve been driving in around 40 to 50 degree weather to and from school which is enough to get the car to operating temp for a considerable amount of time where it then sits for 8 hours then does the same thing back. Are my valve cover gaskets to blame or is there something else this could be? Oil is dripping everywhere and seems to be coated on pretty much the whole driver side of the engine bay and under the engine, the passenger side seems OK for now as I don’t see any leaks on that side and it’s pretty dry over there. I’m just concerned it could be a bigger issue and I don’t have a big budget to spend on this car I bought it assuming I wouldn’t run into these problems after the first week of ownership. I’ve also heard that you should just change the valve covers themselves as well when doing the gaskets however my budget is tight and I can’t afford oem covers, would OE alternatives work and is there any chance I could get away with using the original ones and slapping a new gasket in? Any advise or pointers would help from other owners who’ve had these problems with their gaskets before as this car is currently stressing me to a point I don’t want to be stressed
