Recently I had to replace my UCA due to… driver error… and in the midst of bolting down the ball joint I noticed it didn’t go any farther than a certain point on the threads so I went to go use a hex on the stud and immediately the hex just stripped. Ive tried almost everything to get the ball joint tightened and nothing has worked; prying it , jacking it up, using an impact, using straps , Ive even tried getting the bolt back off to put some lubricant on it but it wont even come off because the stud just spins around.
Any advice or ideas? Im clueless the stud and ball joint I am referring to

Been there before, 3 things, cant remember for sure or not but check to see if you have the "cone" in place, its a little spacer for the ball joint, i know theyre on the front uppers, loosen the nut and youll see the little pyramid/cone thingy, make sure the rear doesnt need that, when you buy new ones you have to transfer the old cone over, learned that the hard way, it wont bottom out without it, second, run a die up the threads to clean them, or a thread chaser, third, large vice grips or adjustables, if you somehow cant get it after those, buy a new car lol
