Fuel Injector Recs - OEM or ?

My car makes the dreaded ticking noise at idle, and increases synchronized with rpm. Hot or cold, all the time. You can hear the car coming a block away.

Tick tick tick tick....

It's not plugs or coil packs. I have checked, felt, listened etc. Does not sound like a loose timing chain. It sounds distinctly like a click, synchronized with the firing cycle of the cylinder.

So, I don't understand the pricing of these things. OEM injectors are over $150 each.
Parts Geek has a set of six for $80. Rock Auto prices range from $35 to $135 each.

Anyone buy the cheap ones? Also, I assume I only have one bad injector - can you tell which one is bad by taking them out and inspecting?

I don't want to spend $900 on six injectors if I can spend $115 for one.

Has anyone got anything to say about changing fuel injectors?

What does injectors have to do with ticking?

You probably have an exhaust leak at your headers.
