I agree with Shodog's post. There are so many good products available out there now, you can drive yourself nuts trying to select the "best" one. My advice is basic and it's worked well for the last 4 cars I've owned. Regardless of what you're trying to detail (leather, dash, car wash, wax), buy a product designed specifically for that particular application. What I mean is, try ot avoid all-in-one products for your dash and leather, or car wash-n-wax systems. Most of all, avoid using dish soap on your exterior paint.
My suggestions:
Wash - Meguiers Gold Class, Zaino
Wax - Zaino, NXT, and there are MANY others
Leather - Lexol, Zaino, and good quality leather cleaner/conditioner
Dash - Aerospace, Meguiers wipes (avoid armorall), california dash duster
The bottom line: If you regularly wash, wax, and clean the interior of your car, it will look great for years to come. I also take it into a detail shop once or twice a year for optimum esthetics. My detail shop charges $79 for a "mini-detail" where they hand wash, buff wax, shampoo the interior, cream the leather seats, and detail the door/trunk jams, etc. I personally think $79 is money well spent for that service twice a year, and I'm a nut with my car care. Even though I baby my cars, it always looks better when I get it back from a mini-detail. Good luck!
