I have read thru most of the threads searching for anyone who has issues with rubbing after modifying their suspension and changing to custom wheels/tires. I have found some helpful information but not very detailed.

Basically, I want to buy a G35 sedan, lower it with an Eibach Pro Kit (1.1" approx. drop), install custom 19x8.5 (225/40/19) front and 19x9.5 (255/35/19) rear wheels/tires. I want to know if I will encounter any rubbing issues. If possible, those of you that have custom setups list the following:

1) Size of wheels front & rear
2) Size of tires front & rear
3) Exact offset front and rear
4) Approx. lowered height
5) list any rubbing issues and when they occur (e.g. rear rub when car is loaded with 4 people weighing 180lbs./ea or front left tire rubs when making a full u-turn with nobody in the car except driver)

This website has been very helpful in choosing to buy a G35 over an Acura TL. Also, can you recommend tire sizes that I can use without rubbing. I got the above information from www.tirerack.com

Thanks!

I can only help you with the 8.5" width, as I don't know about the 9.5" width...

1) Size of wheels front & rear: 19x8.5
2) Size of tires front & rear: 245/40/19
3) Exact offset front and rear: +38mm
4) Approx. lowered height: not exactly known, but lower then Eibach Pro Kit
5) list any rubbing issues and when they occur (e.g. rear rub when car is loaded with 4 people weighing 180lbs./ea or front left tire rubs when making a full u-turn with nobody in the car except driver): no rubbing issues

19x9.5 rear +42 (275/30)
19x8.5 front +38 (245/35)

zero rubbing issues, lowered on coil overs much more than 1"

1) Size of wheels front & rear...........18x7.5
2) Size of tires front & rear..............245/45 front and back
3) Exact offset front and rear...........45
4) Approx. lowered height.............S-tech springs....1.75f and 1.1r, iirc.
5) list any rubbing issues and when they occur (e.g. rear rub when car is loaded with 4 people weighing 180lbs./ea or front left tire rubs when making a full u-turn with nobody in the car except driver.........no rubbing issues......

i hope you're going 19's for show...........otherwise, it's kinda pricey for wheels and tires, unless money is no oject of course.......18s for me was a good compromise for show and go and it's only 1.3% overall bigger in diameter than oem............your choice.

Are you serious, what does it look like? Can you show a detailed image of your cars setup (front wheel and fenders, also rear wheel and quarter panel). I would think that a 245mm for the front seems feasible but a 275mm tire sounds too wide for the sedan. Have you ever noticed if there's rubbing with your car fully loaded with people? Also, what mfg. of coilovers do you have and how's the ride quality (comfort)? Sorry to be a monkey on the back but I just want to verify everything so that I don't experience any problems with what I purchase and install. Anyways, I rarely see modified G35 sedans in the SF Bay Area, mostly coupe's with fat rear wheels/tires.

Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. 245mm all around on a 18x7.5 wheels, isn't that a wide tire for the wheels width? May I see an image? I've been rollin for the past 5 years on my Integra race lowered (2.25" all around) with 18x7.5 RH Evolution C5's wrapped with 215/35/18's. My tires get replacve every 18 months. The Integra has a very stiff and responsive suspension but ride quality sucks ***. I want to at least put an inch larger diameter wheels on the new ride.

I need the new ride for my family, we have a baby on the way. I want my car to look nice and custom but I don't want to sacrifice safety. I was thinking of getting the 19" Axis Hiro's or Milano's staggered. Or, this particular salesman at the dealer would sell me the sedan with the 19" coupe wheels. Still debating.

I don't want an extreme drop like the Acura, that's why I want to get the Eibach Pro Kit.
