Peak torque on the 2005 6mt???
Do any of you know at what RPM our 2005 6MT's achieve their peak torque? I was reading an article in MotorWeek on the 2003 G35 that stated the power band was extremely flat, with peak torque arriving at only 4,800 rpm. I'm curious how the 2005 does in comparison when you factor in the added HP and the slightly decreased torque. I only have 2000 miles on my new Infinity, but I'm guessing that it also peaks at around 4800 RPM. Once I hit 5500 RPM, I feel as though I've squeezed all of the torque out of that particular gear.
Thanks in advance.

Peak torque for an '05 6MT is 260 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm. Peak torque for the '05 5AT is 270 lb-ft @ 4800 rpm.
It's all on the Infiniti website.
While the peak figures are at 4800 rpm, the powerband could be pretty flat with a certain high percentage of the peak value available across a wide range.
I personally feel that my 6MT pulls pretty strongly to redline. Maybe it does fall off a bit above 4800 rpm but it keeps going nicely.
