Pics/review of suspension upgrades & Aero Kit
Size (front/rear): 8.5"/9.5"
Offset (front/rear): +45MM/+45MM (5mm hubcentric spacer in front)
Lip Size (front/rear): 2.5"/3.5"
I have never rubbed with these tires even with 5 people in the car. I would say there is a good 1/4"-1/2" space still available.

Hey Sukhi....You shed light to my dilema. i will get the Eibach plus Tokico D-spec Shocks DSP7, just like you did with my 20" Milanos.
That should give me the height I like with the Eibach Pro Kit and ride quality I'm looking for.
I checked with some guys with 20's and all say with stock suspension, there is little or no change in the ride quality.
Where did you get your Tokico D-spec?
Thanks again.
Chico.

I bought my shocks from Zcargarage In san jose. Talk to Rob and tell him Sukhi referred you. Or, you can buy them online from Ebay. Basically the same price. Rob was able to get them quicker so I got it from him along with the other stuff.
Sukhi,
Where did you get your aero kit from and how much was shipping?
Thx.

Here is a quick rundown of what I did in the last 2 weeks:
New Hotchkis sway bars with collars (Currently set to med/soft f/r)
New Tokico D-spec Shocks DSP7 (Currently Set to 4 turns off stiff f/r)
Nismo Aero Kit
Coupe Mid pipe
Z tube.
I was originally going to go with Tein CS coilovers with the EDFC, but I thought I could get what I wanted with the sways and D-specs and put the rest of the money towards the aero kit.
Before the sways and D-specs, I had only the Eibach Pro-kits with the Non-sport OEM shocks. While the ride was generally smooth it did not handle like I would expect a G35 Sedan to handle. The feeling was very jello like during hard turns unless the road was perfectly smooth, i.e. no bumps whatsoever.
I first added the Sway bars and set them to med/soft f/r. I have a stagger set up and this seemed to work great. The ride got noticeably firmer on the highway but handling and body roll was significantly improved. At this point was happier with the suspension. It was bumpier than I would have hoped and it still exhibited some uncontrolled like behavior when pushing it hard.
A week later I installed the D-specs. I set them to 5 turns off of full stiff front and back. The comfort level was much improved. However the car felt loose. The car felt as if there was more oversteer and the rear end would come out far easier than I would want it to with more body roll than before.
I then set the front bar to soft and the car did not feel right. It was even more loose and did not handle well at the limits. I upped the front to med and upped the rear to medium. Better control, but the rear felt too jittery and bumpy for everyday driving.
For my final setup I went back to Med/soft for the sways and 4 turns from full stiff on the shocks both front and back. The car feels amazing now. It is firm, but still has a very comfortable ride. The eibach progressive springs feel Soooo much more controlled now. These shocks are amazing. I can really feel them doing their job. With the traction control off I can bring out the rear when powering hard through a turn, but it only slightly chirps the rear out and aligns itself with the front. I think its the perfect setting for my car. It feels neutral to me during normal aggressive driving.
I had 5 people in the car Sunday and it was solid, with the perfect amount of firmness and comfort. I am not easily impressed with upgrades, but this time I truly am.
I'd like to thank those who helped narrow down my choices and offer up their opinion. Skeleton_Cru(Eloy) for giving me a ride in HKS LS sedan, and Gsedan35(Jim) for accurate info.
If any one of you in the Bay Area is looking to upgrade your suspension or change it, you are welcome to check mine out and go from there. Its always an added plus when you can actually try something out before spending that kind of money.
And here are some pics of the body Kit. Install was pretty easy, I was able to do the rear without removing the rear bumper which was nice. I have clear corners on order so that should finish it off....Over all I like the new look.
What do you guys think? I know the pics are not the greatest.

I thought the HKS coilovers were good. Firm and provided good handling and was still comfortable. The version I test drove in was the older non adjustable version. The reason why I went with my set up was that I was already happy with the drop and I only heard good things about the d-specs. Turned out great and I saved quite a bit of money.

Sukhi,
Your G looks hot bro. Doesn't the aero kit make a huge difference? I'm glad you found the right solution to your suspension needs. It pays to do your homework and you did just that. Keep up the good work. Oh, and great write up/review of your mods.
PS - Don't listen to Don, the spoiler looks good.

Thanks Eloy...the aero kit totally changes the look of the car. I like it.
Roro, its hard to compare the two because they are not apples and apples. I have sway bars and Eloy has yet to install his. Also, the test drive was normal driving, nothing crazy so its hard for me to tell you how the HKS LS would have handled at the limit. I would have to give the HKS the edge though however because it is a complete set and with the newer models you can adjust both hieght and firmness. If you are looking for pure performance, the Eibach progressive springs should not really be on your list of set ups. I bought them because I had very good experiences with them in my 300zx TT. I will say though that the d-specs improve the eibachs substantially.
It depends what you are after. I am not going to change the height of my car, I still can however make adjustments for autocrossing if i ever decide to. If you are going to constantly change the firmness its better to get something like the EDFC. It would suck to remove the rear seats everytime you want to adjust the rear shocks.

well im looking for something that will first off provide a nice 1.0-1.5" drop. most important thing to me is ride comfort, yet without losing the feel of a performance sports sedan. my choices so far are:
1) TEIN CS
2) HKS LS
3) Z D-Spec / Z springs
don't think ill really have any need to constantly switch around any settings though once i find the one i like. any feedback?
