Staggered wheels on an X ??

Does any one here have a staggered set up on the X?
Was wondering how the AWD system would be effected by having different size tires on the fronts and rears.

There are a couple of threads on this topic if you search.

Basical it's not advisable.
Evan with careful selection, a stagger always has a Fr/Rr DIA mismatch.
At the very least it will affect the way the AWD operates.
It could also cause damage which would not likely be covered by warranty.

coming from the audi scene (g35 is ordered!), the AWD issue has been a big topic. basically, you can usually run a staggered set up, but you have to use the same width wheel. just adjustments in the offset to get more lip. you want the width and rolling diameter to be the same in order to not have the AWD system have issues. however, like others said, its not usually very recommended. on my audi i went with an offset that worked really well for front and rear to not cause any problems.

Thanks for the reply guys.

So, I am guessing no X owners are running the staggered set up?

Reason I am asking is because I am buying coupe wheels (w/tires) and I didn't want the tires to go to waste

I guess I will just have to ebay the tires.

Thanks
