Best Entry Level Mods
Let me appoligize, I am a newbie, but I have a burning pocket that wants to do some mods. One thing to consider the car has plenty of warranty life so I cant do anything that voids the warranty.
With that being said, what do you all think is the best value mod and who has the best stuff.
Any help would be greatly appreciated or links.

Look at my mods for a good start; all are a good bang for your buck. I've spent less than $1,000 total on mods including shipping and any professional installations done...I think I'm done modding (for now anyway)!
If you want to spend a lot more, then look at new wheels/tires, F/I, etc. Just skim though a bunch of threads and posts and look at ppl's sig's for their mods, and you'll know what mods ppl get on their G35s. Also look through the classifieds section to see what ppl are selling. If you want new, then go to where most of us get our mods:
www.EverythingG35.com and www.PerformanceNissanParts.com. Enjoy.

Dynamat or B-Quiet to quiet this thing down on the freeway. I just had some put in along with the stereo upgrade, adn it's a great call. You could buy $250 worth of product and put it on yourself over a weekend - it's a tremendous investment if you do much freeway driving. I love the road feel and don't mind some noise from the 18" tires, but enough is enough already - especially when the engine is spinning 3K rpm at a modest 80mph
I am looking for engine mods, such as best cold air intake, mid-pipe, down-pipe, manifold, muffler/exhaust, pulleys anything that will help performance but keep my warranty.

As far as warranty goes...the dealer must prove that the mods you have on your car caused whatever issue you're having. A dealer can't just say "You're warranty is void". So if you add mods and something goes wrong, expect that you dealership will hassle you about it. There are some dealerships that are more mod friendly then others.
With all the mods you mentioned above you will get your best HP numbers if you get an ECU reflash after they are installed. Without it, you may be dissappointed with your results.

bsgoren,
If you were to go with a cold air intake which one would you put on your baby.
Please don't laugh but what the hell is a "Gordgee's 10-wire GG grounding wire system", what does it do for your car.

injen and stillen seem to be the most popular choices of the intakes. some also keep the stock airbox and just replace the filter with a k&n. to find out more information on them it just do a simple search.
gorgees grounding gear is another great mod. especially if you have an auto. it removes the delay when shifting gears when you use the manumatic mode and is deffenitally noticeable.
for your first performance mods i recommend the z tube, intake and either a new upper pleneum or pleneum spacer. they are the cheapest and can be done yourslef. once you get into anything under the car (exhaust, headers, highflow cats) you get into more expensive parts along with shop costs if needed.
also get rid of your amber side markers and replace them with clear corners if you havent done so already.

As far as the CAI, there are a few out there. Others can chime on which ones are best, but I believe the consensus is that the Z-tube/K&N combo will yield just as much or more HP than any CAI. Plus, it's a Nissan oem part and there's no worry of hydro-lock (however unlikely). The Z-tube's sound above 3,500rpm's makes your car sound much meaner too.
