Solar guard tint

Is solar guard metalized tint good -- is it as good as Madioco or huper in terms of heat reduction

Any downsides -- is it recommended

Appreciate quick response as i am tinting tomorrow

Thanks

Don't know how it compares to the others, but I've had it on my 03.5 Sedan for 18 months now and I love it. Living in the hot part of CA., I really wantes it for sun and heat protection. I really like it.
Hope this helps.

I got the solar gard quantum put on and I like it a lot. Like garywh said, it does protect the interior from the heat and sun. You will see a considerable difference and it comes with a lifetime warranty. I have no downsides about it so far.

I've had good luck with it. I had my G35 tinted with the stuff a little while ago and posted pics and details here:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v35-2003-06/49280-photos-ivory-pearl-6mt-sedan-tint.html

Keep in mind that the '91 Sentra SE-R I had tinted with Solar Gard sat outside broiling all over north and west Texas for eight of the 10 years I had it. The film held up perfectly.

Exclamation

They've moved Basus's original tint thread to the FAQ & DIY section and never got my tint question answered either.

Basus where you getting your tint done? Prices?

I need my tinting done soon, summer is just around the corner and the Vegas heat will not wait for me.

Hey Birdhouse

I am installing solar guard tint at Green Valley tint on 600 W Sunset Rd, Ste 101 -- ph no 566-4000 , i hear they are pretty good and old at this job.

Initially i decided at Huper and went to Audio excellence but those bas.... let me down for 3 times and so i took my money back and going today at this place

I know it's probably too late to answer your question but in my professional opinion, Solargard metalized film is very good film. I've been tinting since 1996 and have used an array of films. Just FYI.

I tinted my windows yesterday -- went pretty well and was done in 1 and half hrs and they did not dirty the car.

I put HP Charcoal which is a mix of metallized and dye and has life time warranty. 13% on back 3 windows and 22% on front windows

/me raises hand.

Solar Gard here too. I love the stuff. Have had my last 3 cars tinted with it and have been pleased every time. In North Texas and it's made ALL the difference especially when having to park outside for long periods.
