Scratched rim on "Certified Pre-Owned"
I bought my G about 3 weeks ago as a CPO. Earlier this week I noticed that one of the rims is scratched. I haven't had to parallel park it yet, so I know that I didn't do it. Do you think that the dealership would fix it? Or is it sold "as is" We didn't notice it when we bought it, so am I out of luck?

I'm no expert on warranties, but unless you have a good relationship to the dealer (like it's your brother or sister!) I think they'll say sorry, it wasn't there when we delivered it. That should not ruin your G experience though. But you may want to be sure the wheel is balanced-a weight could have come off when it hit the curb.
Good luck- and enjoy the G. By the way, I see a fair number of women in Gs here (yes, yes, I know it's the wrong thread, but that guy who threatened the woman kept me out of that thread. I would have to have written too long a note-even longer than this one!)
Drive safely,

Yeah, I agree. I don't think CPO covers scratches and stuff like that. That is purely your responsibility when you looked over the car before you got it. Scratched wheels can be fixed by a good wheel shop. Look around or post in the "wheels" section of this site to see if a repair shop is close by.

Believe it or not, Testors' regular ol' enamel model paint in "Aluminum" color is an EXACT match for the sport rims. I'm pretty sure it's the same color for base 6-spoke wheels too. I tested an area on the inside of the rim and it was the same. Anyhow, after a coating or two of the paint, I finished up with an airbrushed layer of clear coat and voila! You cannot tell a difference. No drips, no runs either. It's a nice little trick.
I have no idea what color the '05 wheels are though.
