that if you in an accident in your car, how long does is take to show up on Carfax.com after the accident?

it only shows on carfax.com if u report it to the police....it wont automatically go into carfax.com

What about insurance? If you report it (ie make a claim) to your insurance company will it eventually show on Carfax? I've always wondered this too.
