Best CAI or Ram Air

Hey guys, not too familar with my girl's G35. I would like to add a CAI or Ram Air kit for her car. Whats the best kit out on the market? This will be for a 04 with about 10,000 miles.

Thanks..

In my opinion which is based on personal experience, leave the stock box alone. If you want some sound and better throttle response, get a Z-tube and a K/N drop-in filter. For about $120, you will retain the torque and may add a little (5HP) up top. It will sound good too. The stock box is already a darn good CAI.

the stock box is already a ram air design and also a CAI

only ricer waste money and put a filter down to the bumper to suck in more dust

Wow, what an intelligent comment that was.

Don't mind Hyde, he's an angry little guy.

I agree with the Z-tube/K&N filter combo.

I like the "POP" with the "Z". Stays outta harms way (not down by the bumper) runs about 12 degrees cooler than stock. (of course this was measured last month against a stock unit in my friends "G" and it's still kinda cool out) And, it is simple to install while removing a lot of the clutter and crap in that area JBX

Trust me guys, I've met Hyde in person a few times -- He's not "angry" just a very strong opinioned person.

I think he was referrring to the CAI which routes the pipe down into the wheel well, which I tend to agree is not much better than the OEM setup. BTW he's running a Z-tube with a K&N on his car.

I've been very happy with my full-length CAI, I guess I'm a 'ricer'.

But then, I probably paid less for my AEM CAI than most people pay for a Z-tube and K&N so I'll stay happy

One day... One day... I'll dyno.

There's nothing wrong with being opinionated. It's how you express that opinion that leaves an impression on people.

I agree wholeheartedly (totally man) -- but I think people also deserve the benefit of doubt. Perception of another's motives can easily be way off base and if you factor in the differences in culture, you have an even more difficult time reading in the truth.

I don't base my perception off just one post, but several.

So what is the best???

Alright, after looking at the argument, I am not satisfied. Let's say I want to be known as a "ricer" , which intake would be best for an '03 Auto...

AEM
Stillen
Injen

Thanks

Truthfully, Injen, Stillen, AEM... if you're looking at the full length intakes, they're all almost identical, from installation to looks.
