Sport Bumper & PIAA Sportmesh Installed - PICS
Are your springs from a 03Z or 04Z. Also if you were using the Z shocks prior to the D-Spec shocks could you comment on which rides better in terms of comfort and handling. I am running full 03Z suspension with 245/45 18 and I am definitely going to change to what you have next time (245/40), since in the back my wheel gap is sometimes 1 finger or less. Your setup looks good. I am thinking about getting the Dspecs with my 03 springs and if the ride isn’t good I might change to 04 springs.

I don't think it makes any difference though.
The D-Specs will make a dramatic change!!!!
The mid'04 change on the Z was shocks only. '03 & '04 springs are the same rates, (info from Gsedan35)
I was running Eibach Pros c/w sport suspension shocks b4 the change.
I installed Z springs & D-Specs at the same time along with 350Evo rear sway.

Giving the rumor a boost in my mind is the fact that due to the considerate help of a member here, I was sent a single front and rear spring off of a 2005 coupe sport suspension to get the spring rates off of. Front rate was the same (314), rear rate however is 427(vs 342). Also of note is the fact that the rear shocks on the 05 coupe sport suspension are the same shocks used on the revised 350Z suspenison. However, until I get a rear spring in my hands from a revised 350Z suspension, we won't know if the rumor is true or not. All I need to do is test it and I'll return it within 48 hours.
It's too bad I wasn't closer (& on the south side of the 49th), I could have swapped the Eibachs back in temporarily for you to test the '05s I have.
Is there any way I can duplicate your test method???

1. Number of active coils (should have 4 if I recall)
2. Outside diameter of the coils (should be 5")
3. Multiple wire diameter checks, getting this right is critical as even small changes will effect the rates.

I think I have a source to access a dial caliper.
(may take a week)
FWIW
Heres a pic of the '05 Z spring......
Left is OEM sport, middle = Z, right=Eibach

Nice ride. I noticed that your location is Toronto.
I recently bought a 2005 Silverstone 6MT sedan with graphite interior and would like to have it tinted 35% all around. Can you tell me where in Toronto did you have your tinting done? I would prefer to have it tinted at a place where the tinters have experience tinting G's. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

They are painted black on the back side of the rim.
The front is more of a dark silver look.
The finish is really great.
I'm in Canada so my source wouldn't work for you,
but if you Google PIAA Sportmesh you'll find a few places.
So that's their hyperblack? you photos look as if they are straight up silver! does it look like the color in your posted photos in real life? or is some strange photographic/lighting phenomena making it look silver in your pictures.

Yup pics are pretty close to real life.
It was a dull day so no exaggerated over exposure from the sun.
I'd say they're more of a dark silver as opposed to brilliant silver.
