LOL, Thanks JBX. VW sure has had their share of problems in the past. I believe their quality has improved a great deal but not to the levels that I would like. It seems that globalization has improved some issues with cars and yet created problems for some...like honda..warped rotors, trans problems etc. Even my 2003 I35 was a Lemmon wanna be with a front end that could never be balanced. I have given up on the concept of a good automobile and will take my lumps when I have to. Meanwhile, I am hoping that the diesel Passat and new Jetta diesel will be faithful trouble free companions for awhile. My memoried of my G weill be with me until alzheimers takes them away! It was a great car, good looking and fun to drive. I'll be around , lurking so to speak. I have enjoyed this forum, spent many hours here and will probably continue to do so. I'll post on the diesel reliability issues from time to time.G35sedanman out !
