Sold My G

Well Everyone,
I just wanted to say I have enjoyed this web site, all your opinions and advise. I enjoyed the G also but found it was time to part ways. The new owner took it today and she really looked good in it. Actually, she looked good out of it also (LOL)! I figured now was a good time to sell as fuel prices are on the rise and also the car value was high. All in all, it was fun. I wish you well and hope you enjoy your g35's.

G35sedanman out!

Don't be a stranger; what are you/did you buy to replace the G?

You don't have to answer

Thanks for the good wishes to you all. I am buying a VW Jetta Diesel, the new one that just got the great crash test ratings. I should enjoy about 36+ MPG around town while still being comfortable. I should have one within a week or two as availability for the diesel is still touchy.

(note to self - be sure to dust all diesel Jettas encountered on the road, to make sure they remember what they are missing. Know they will be laughing when you see them at the fuel pump.)

That was good! Won't be to hard for you guys to dust the Jetta, kinda like the story between the Tortoise and the Hare. No doubt I will miss the G. It was the nicest car I ever owned and I am glad to have had the experience.

HAH! That's funny, we're about to move and will need a second car soon. I think I'm going to let the wife drive the G (most of the time) and I'm thinking about a Golf Diesel myself. I was impressed with the size of trunk in the new Jetta when I was finally able to see it up close at the NY Auto Show. I took about 5 pics of the new GLI, pretty nice.

I like the new gen GTI also, too bad it only comes in a 2 door. I had an '86, that was a fun car. Good luck and post some impressions on the general board or something once it's broken in.

I was never fond of VW until I drove one. I was seriously shocked how much I loved this car. It had 100HP 150lbs torque 2.0 TDI. It was no G35, but the ****ing thing had *****, me and my 3 buddies were in the thing and I was cruising at 220kph getting like 30mpg. I would have bought one of these instead of my G35 but they don't have them in America, or at least not when I purchased my car.
