Traded my Acura TLS for G sedan

Traded my 03 TLS for a 05 Brillant Silver 6mt. The Acura's transmission went out. Dealer fixed it. Two weeks later I'm the proud owner of a new G.
What an unbelievable car. I've been lurking around the forums for a few weeks
trying to learn a few things. Very informative people.

Congratualtions ...

Welcome to the G fan-club Mark ... good choice!!! I'm a noob myself with the G (have had mine for about 3 weeks) ... but have been a long-time Datsun-Nissan-Infiniti guy. This is absolutely the best, most fun, new car that I've had since I bought my first Z back in '74.

Enjoy your new ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tl

Congrats Mark!

So here is the question.......Does the driving experience of the G outweigh the creature comforts of the TL?

congrats mark..

i'm in the process of getting rid of my '03 TL-S and picking up a coupe. just like you, i've been through a tranny (at 30k) and as i am rapidly approaching the 50k mi warranty mark, i'm frantically dashing to fill out the paperwork to get rid of that pile of junk

did you have any mods done to the TL?

I have my buddy's 02 TL in my driveway waiting his arrival home from deployment. He's also a member here LOL. He won't like seeing this! I keep teasing him and telling him to take the plunge..

Congrats on the new ride - I (and I'm sure my friend) would love to read a 'compare and contrast' of how the two cars relate in performance, interior comfort and ride - so forth and so on.

Pics? Any pics?

I have a 02 CL where my tranny went out on 30k as well. Don't worry about the 50k mi warranty mark, they extended the warranty to 100k. But dont let that stop u from getting the G cause I am going for the G also. =)

Good change there buddy. I too went from an 03 CL-S to a G35 Sedan(this time a sedan,1st timer). I never regreted one day of it. The Cl's tranny sucked, took it in @ least 5 times within a 9 month period, dealer told me there was nothing wrong with it. I told the dealer oh really? Then here you go, and traded in the Cl for the G. Have your tranny problematic car back, not even a yr old. The ONLY thing I miss of the CL was the touch screen navi, programming it while driving & the icons of the gas stations were that of the real gas stations. Had little Chevron icons, Mobil etc.
