The intelligent key was definitely a nice addition for 05............No complaints about it whatsoever....Plus when people see if for the first time they are really impressed....

yeah, all my friends are jealous, and I also wish the buttons were done differently, too many times hitting the unlock/lock/trunk open in my pocket, the only downer of the remote.

I have my friends kids convinced that my car needs no keys at all, I tell them that it senses my energy as I approach. It is funny to spy on these curious kids as they sneak out and in to the car and try to figure out to start it, of course they never succeed but it is fun to watch them try.

The only "problem" with the Intelligent key is that since you have to remember to lock the car using the fob. It does not lock itself, and I forgot several times in the first week.

It should lock itself if you wait about a minute.Originally Posted by BWagner

huh? I've seen comments like this before so...
locked car + punch door button 1x = driver door unlocked + 1 beep
locked car + punch door button 2x = all doors unlocked + 2 beeps
unlocked car + doors closed + punch door button 1x = all doors lock + alarm set + 2 beeps (beeps 5x if a door is still open)
