Has anyone put the coupe midpipe on their X ?? If so, how was the install, power, and sound ??

Also, any 05's with the coupe midpipe (AWD or RWD) ?? It is my understanding that the 05's have some exhaust changes.

Just wondering if it is possible and/or worth doing for the 05's?

I had it on my 04X for a while. I liked the sound. No power gains it's strictly a sound mod. I liked the sound of the HKS muffler more. So that's what I have now until I get a catback system.

Install was easy, about 30 minutes with jackstands and hand tools, and like Xman said, no diff in power, this is a sound mod. I believe the 05's are just missing an extra hanger post-midpipe near the muffler itself.

 

I've got an extra coupe mid-pipe for sale in southern cali./Chino Hills if anyone wants to pick up for $75.
